Collaboration - Pool Fight

This scene is from a film, in which I was the camera operator. We had a one shot opportunity for the underwater scene as we filmed this at lunchtime and once the actors were wet, we couldn't do a retake. I had to rig the camera in a waterproof case on an improvised boom to get the shot.

A film created for a Communications Tech lighting assignment where the task was to create a dramatically lit scene.
AI Generated Skybox Test
(2023)
This AI generated skybox is used as a texture for a sphere inside Blender. I used an AI generated displacement map to displace the sphere. The camera is looking at the sphere from the inside. The 2 smaller spheres, 1 with a transparent material and one with a metallic material, are used as lighting references.

Collaboration - Surfer's Christmas Present

This stop motion animation was made in collaboration with Shoot Your Bricks, a YouTube friend who lives in a different country, who was interested in the same content. This video was planned out over Skype calls, created separately and then edited together to make the final video.

Max ran the first ever KOW Art Gallery and showcased his Peter Drumstick comics.
The Creative
(2015)
Max has been coming up with inventive, dastardly, daring and unexpected characters and art work since kindergarten. Cartooning was the perfect genre that allowed characters such as Super Granny and Super Grandpa, Peter Drumstick, Greedy Goblin and Diary of a Weirdo to erupt from his mind and come to life on the pages of hand made
comic books.
A lot of collaboration takes place at school or on playdates amongst lightsaber fights or fossil hunts with copious amounts of that side-splitting kind of laughter that really makes your face ache. Once a character is conceived, a plot thickened and the giggle fits have subsided, the serious work of story boarding and art work begin, turning ideas into comic books.
Fork + Toaster Comics

The budding cartoonist has discovered a following of his works by school friends, family and neighbours. Fueled by the desire to make others laugh as much as he does, he decided to create Fork + Toaster Comics to unleash his works on the world.
